Leaving for Paris! Let the Journey begin!!!

Julie and Camille excited for what we have in store for us the next 3 weeks!

Has anyone read the Davinci Code?...well, here is the Inversed Pyramid!

Me with the Seine

We even did a sewer tour!!! It smelt horrible!

Our first view of the Eiffel Tower.

Notre-Dame Cathedral!

Stained Glass inside the Cathedral

Inside Notre-Dame.

The door to the bell tower.

The Bell Tower!--Can't help but think of the Hunchback of Notre-Dame up here.

Panaramic view from Notre-Dame!

This is one of my favorite pictures--taken from the top of the Notre-Dame.

The Winged Victory

The Mona Lisa!

Being Silly---Julie was tired!! Her flip flop had broken earlier and so it was hard walking around. She left the Louvre early and me and Camille stayed for a bit more.

Raft of Medusa

Me with Cupid

Venus de Milo

The outside portion of the Pyramid

again

L'arc du carrousel--just outside the Louvre

The end of Day One!--it was a good one!

April 28, 2005--We started with the Sacre Coeur Basilica in the morning and did much more throughout the day!

Julie and Camille at the Sacre Coeur Basilica.

We went to Versaille for the afternoon to see the palace (behind us)...it was owned by King Louis the 14th or something like that...not too sure.

Smart Car! They are tiny and everywhere in Europe!

Inside the Musee D'orsay. This museum was great because Julie and I made it through the entire thing in under an hour and a half! Julie and I do museums the same way...fast! (Camille takes a little longer...)

This is probably one of the first of many goofy pictures of Julie and Me. We are actually trying to mimic Camille who poses in almost all her pictures! :) We love her!

Palace in Versaille

Inside the Versaille Palace.

Julie and I try to rest while we wait for Camille who just keeps going and going!

Still at Versaille....we have walked way too much today and we are exhausted...but we have to keep going!!

The Pompidou building! It may look like it's under construction...but it's not! That is how it always looks!! And the long, climbing tube on the side of the building is the escalator that you see us on below.

Going to the top of Pompidou.

Some modern museum in the Pompidou building...there was some weird stuff there!!! (very, very weird stuff)

L'Arc de Triumphe

Soooooooooo many stairs in Paris!!

I'm trying not to die from all the stair climbing!

The Eiffel Tower from the top of the Arc. Most of our pictures our blury...but I think Camille got one good one!

In the Hotel after a LONG day!! We ended up walking over 10 miles today!

April 29, 2005--Julie and Me outside a church....which I forgot the name to all of a sudden! have no fear though...i'm sure camille knows the name of it!

The stained glass inside this cathedral was amazing. Each pane told a story from the bible.

Steak & Fries! It costs us a pretty penny...but with the recommendation of our teacher Dr. Jackson we had to try it! It was way good!

Julie and I ran into missionaries and they told us that the institute and chapel were right down the street...so we found it and took a picture.

Moi and the Seine!

A view of the back of the Notre-Dame!

The Eiffel Tower!!! We decided not to go up it because we had already gone up everything else in Paris (Arc de Triumphe, Notre Dame, etc.) and felt like we had gotten a good enough view!

The 3 of us!

The best attempt of our picture taking of her jumping in front of the tower!
